POSITION OVERVIEW

b8ta is a rapidly growing startup.  We are looking for a talented instructional designer who can help us to develop engaging training resources for our retail teams. The ideal candidate is a creative individual who has experience developing blended learning solutions including e-learning, instructor-led training, and performance support resources. You will be adept at juggling multiple responsibilities while contributing to the growth of our training and development programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop learning programs using a variety of solutions, such as e-learning, instructor-led training, job aids, and performance support resources.
  • Work with business partners to create training materials and strategies on specific products we display and sell. 
  • Work with Customer Experience Development Manager to identify and confirm learning objectives and training strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and developing strategies that lead to improved results.
  • Create designs where learning objectives, content, activities, and evaluation techniques are all aligned and cohesive.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of training programs and strategy within stores.
  • Deliver new product knowledge training content via LMS on a monthly basis.
  • Facilitate in-person training programs.
  • Coordinate external partner-led training sessions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-4 years experience designing elearning solutions for a variety of job levels; experience in retail a plus.
  • Team player, willing to adapt based on business needs.
  • Understanding and experience with eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems. Articulate Storyline experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Strong ability to develop practical training programs.
  • Adult learning experience design – knowledge and experience in creating user interfaces that facilitates the best adult learning experience.
  • Must be open to feedback.
  • Action oriented, innovative thinking, strong problem solving skills, flexible, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
